Occupational therapy helps individuals with motor and behavioral problems learn to perform purposeful activities. The OT helps patients improve their ability to complete tasks in both their living and working environments. They work with individuals with physical, developmental and emotional conditions.
Our therapists will provide individualized treatments to enhance skill functioning resulting from illness, injury, or disability. The OT will use purposeful activity or interventions to achieve functional outcomes to promote, develop, sustain, or restore the highest possible level of independence.
Occupational therapy services typically include:
- Individualized evaluation, during which the client/family and occupational therapist determine the person’s goals.
- Customized intervention to improve the person’s ability to perform daily activities and reach the goals.
- Outcomes evaluation to ensure that the goals are being met and make changes to the intervention plan.
